The History of The Nest Academy in Lorton, VA
The Nest Academy Learning Preschool first opened its doors in Lorton, Virginia, in 1999 with a mission to provide high-quality childcare and early childhood education in a nurturing, family-focused environment. As our reputation for excellence grew, we expanded to serve more families by opening a second location in Del Ray, Alexandria, followed by our Cameron Street campus.
For more than 25 years, Nest Academy has been helping children build confidence, independence, and a lifelong love of learning. Our experienced educators are committed to creating a safe, welcoming environment where every child feels valued, supported, and encouraged to reach their full potential.
At the heart of our program is a play-based approach to early childhood education. We believe children learn best through hands-on experiences, exploration, creativity, and meaningful interactions with their peers and teachers. By combining purposeful learning activities with nurturing relationships, we help children develop the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical skills they need to succeed in school and beyond.
Today, families throughout Lorton, Fairfax County, and Northern Virginia continue to choose Nest Academy for our dedication to quality education, strong family partnerships, and commitment to helping every child thrive.
